My clients will receive comprehensive individualized care taylored to your specific needs. It is my goal to help you to maintain a healthy low risk pregnancy by offering ongoing screening including blood and urine testing with referrals to an OB or Maternal Fetal Medicine Doctor if they should become necessary. I do my best to practice evidence-based care by staying up to date with the newest information available to me. I also believe in informed consent for any test or procedure offered and will make sure we have a chance to discuss issues and come up with a care plan together as a team. Prenatal Care:

*Initial prenatal visit is up to 2 hours and includes a detailed health history, a risk assessment, a physical exam including bloodwork if necessary, as well as reviewing current issues, such as nutrition and lifestyle.

*Each subsequent visit is up to 60 minutes which will include maternal vital signs, listening to fetal heart tones, and discussing issues relevant to the stage of pregnancy you are in. I will see you once a month until 28 weeks, twice a month until 36 weeks and then weekly until your baby is born. Referrals for ultrasounds if indicated or desired are included.

*Access to a lending library, information regarding chiropractic care, childbirth education, lactation consultants, doulas, supplements, herbs, homeopathy,etc.

*I am always available to my clients for urgent needs day or night.

Labor and Birth:

*Continuous care during active labor from the midwife you have built a relationship of trust and friendship with during the course of your pregnancy. Access to my direct cell number for questions or concerns.

* Use of birth tub that will be delivered to your house between 36 and 37 weeks of pregnancy.

*At least 2 fully trained and qualified midwives will attend your birth with all of the supplies and medications necessary to handle a complication, if one should arise.

*Assessment of both mother and baby during active labor.

*Full assessment of newborn including APGAR scores and a thorough newborn exam when baby is about 2 hours old done at your bedside.

Postpartum Care:

*One 24 – 48 hour visit, one 2 week visit and one 6 week visit for a full head to toe assessment of both you and baby. Other visits on an as needed basis.

*24/7 access to your midwife for postpartum questions or concerns.

*Offer Critical Congenital Heart Disease screening and Newborn Screening.

*Breastfeeding support and education
